How Big is your Small Business?  Does it have a Server?  You may not need it any more.

 

Imaging working anywhere that is connected to the internet.  Not having the costs associated with owning a server.  Yet still have the ability to store your files in a central location.   Imagine working totally from the web, saving your files to your office website in a location only your co-workers can see.  Creating workspaces for each of your customers that you can interact directly with.

 

Although still in it's infancy, Microsoft released a new service http://www.officelive.com.  If you do not have any custom applications that require you to have a server, you may want to look in to Office Live as an alternative to buying a server.  Office live gives you free website and advanced file sharing with anyone from partners to customers.

 

Note that this site, smallbusinessithelp.com is hosted by Office Live.  It is the Basic Version which gives basic Website and Email hosting functionality (yet the website editing tool, Site Designer, is very advanced; very easy for a non-IT person to use).
